Tokaryk Lake

"Home of the Tokaryk Take"

The Tokaryk Take is back!

That interlude more brief than your third marriage

Tokaryk Lake was the hottest fishery in the Parkland in 2009.

Once again folks are complaining of their 2X tippets parting with nary a warning, leaving them with dismayed egg on their collective faces after the initial take. Rattlesnake strikes could never match the steelhead cross bred into these finned thieves for speed.

Everyone who fished Tokaryk raved about the 2009 action. Best of all the equipment is on hand to install an aerator system in 2010 so there'll be no more sudden disappearances of the larger trout, or outright winter kills as we've experienced in the past. Even better yet, those fish are growing and will be even larger in 2010.
We can expect some real tackle-busting silvered pigs by fall of next year.

Not surprising since Tokaryk has always held the potential to produce angling way above world class standards. The lake has a solid forage base and enough fishing pressure to preserve it, while allowing growth that produces some huge specimens.

There are no boat and motor restrictions. There are no restrictions on bait-fishing, other than use of live minnows being prohibited. The lake has provincial limits.

Tokaryk is not a FLIPPR lake although FLIPPR was hired to oversee the aeration program.
